Morning mood on Lake Zurich: a mown meadow path leads through a wildflower meadow with poppies down to the mist-veiled lake, gentle hills beyond in golden light.

Fellowship

Those who join early help shape it.

The Fellowship is the circle of those who do not find The Local Sanctuary finished, but help shape it. What takes form here is not a joining of something already in place, but a shared work — calm, committed, as equals.

The beginning is made by fifty Founding Fellows — they carry the venture through its early phase and help decide on its structures. The wider circle of Sanctuary and Gold Fellows follows: early enough to shape what is taking form. The three paths are described under Contribution.

Not members, but Co-Creators.

A club can be entered. A Fellowship comes into being. Those who join in this early phase do not step into a finished house, but into an open process of shaping — and help determine how an idea becomes lived practice.

We deliberately call this circle not members but Co-Creators. The difference is not a choice of words but a stance: your experience, your expectations and your measure of involvement flow into what The Local Sanctuary becomes.

An invitation from this circle is a warm precedence, not automatic membership: it leads to a first, confidential conversation.

A companion that grows with you.

At the centre stands a personal account that carries you through every phase — from the first conversation to everyday life in the house. From it grows the app that accompanies you each day: every element in one place, always at hand. We begin with five — and develop them continually, in step with those who are there early.

Your personal Health Concierge

Human and digital.

A companion team drawn from medicine, therapy and coaching — and a living picture of your health that joins diagnostics, trends and wearable data. You decide for yourself how deep it reaches.

Communities

Small enough to know one another.

Fellowship Circles of six to eight people — and the exchange from Fellow to Fellow: recommendations, knowledge and offerings within the circle, beyond the surface of networking.

Programmes & experiences

Curated, not consumed.

Journeys and Science Talks, shared dinner evenings, outings on the lake — in the rhythm of the year, with substance before show.

Co-creation

Your voice, built in.

Pulse check, programme resonance, open initiative — your will is part of the day-to-day, not an episode. How this works is shown by the three levels further below.

Service & logistics

Thought of before you ask.

Arrival across the lake, chauffeur and valet service, personal organisation — the practical recedes, so that the day is yours.

Hands at a linen-laid table — one resting on an open, empty notebook, the other holding a steaming dark cup; a plain fitness tracker on the wrist, copper vessels beside it in soft window light.

Three levels of co-creation.

Not everything is open to negotiation — and not everything is settled. We make transparent what forms the frame, what you shape together and what each calibrates for themselves.

Backbone

What is settled.

Values, medical care and the character of the house are set. They give a hold — and remain dependable.

Co-Created

What Fellows shape.

Programmes, rituals, the cadence of togetherness — much comes into being in dialogue with those who are there early.

Personally Calibrated

What each chooses for themselves.

Depth, pace and closeness of data you determine for yourself. Here, companionship means: fitting, not prescribed.

Five people sit in conversation around a rustic wooden table in a bright room with mullioned windows — notebooks, a carafe and glasses on the table, a copper lamp above.

What we are working on right now.

We say openly where the venture stands. Substance shows itself, too, in concealing nothing.

  • The house and its setting are taking shape — we will announce the details as soon as they are binding.
  • The personal account and the Fellowship access make the beginning; the app grows step by step.
  • The first programmes and Circles come into being together with the early circle.
  • For months the offering has been taking form in dialogue with doctors, university researchers, healthspan experts, therapists, wellness architects and hospitality partners — much is in place, and it remains deliberately open to what the first circle needs. We will name names as soon as they are binding.

Those who join early see these steps first — and help shape them.

Already invited?

If someone from the circle has passed on an access to you, set up your personal account here at your leisure.

Set up access

The path into the first cohort.

No invitation yet? The first step is the self-portrait — a confidential questionnaire in which we come to know your circle of values and your expectations. From it grows, where it fits, a personal conversation.

Begin the self-portrait

What takes shape here cannot be applied for, only received.
